Before you come in for your procedure, we’ve gathered everything you need to feel informed and confident. Prior To Your Appointment
- It is important to not have unprotected sex from your last period, until your appointment (or for at least 7 days prior to your appointment).
- Please ensure you complete the consent form that you received via text.
- For coil fits only: Please return your self-swab to our reception at least 7 days before your appointment so that we have the results in time.
On The Day of Your Appointment
- Make sure you are well hydrated and have eaten lunch beforehand.
- Take some paracetamol and/or ibuprofen 30 to 60 minutes before your appointment - this will help with any discomfort during and after the procedure.
- For coil fits only: Bring a sanitary towel to your appointment, as there could be some bleeding afterwards.
