Flu Season 2026/27

Top up your protection against flu this winter by getting vaccination if you are eligible. The flu vaccine helps protect against flu, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness. It's offered on the NHS every autumn or early winter to those at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu.

 

You can get the free NHS flu vaccine if you:

  • are aged 65 or over (including those whowill be 65 by31 March 2027)
  • are aged 18 to 64 and have certain long-term health conditions
  • are pregnant
  • live in a care home
  • are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer's allowance
  • live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • are experiencing homelessness or staying in a homeless hostel or night shelter

 

Children who are aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2026 (born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023) can get the flu vaccine at:

 

  • their GP surgery (from 1 September 2026)
  • a pharmacy that offers NHS children's flu vaccination (from 1 October 2026)

 

If you're eligible for an NHS flu vaccine, you will be able to get your vaccine from:

·                     your GP surgery

·                     a pharmacy that offers NHS flu vaccination (if you're aged 18 or over or your child is aged       2 to 3 years old)

·                     Some people may be able to get vaccinated through their maternity service, care home, or their employer if they are a frontline health or social care worker

Flu Vaccination Clinics – Invitations Begin Tuesday 1st September 2026

 

Eligible patients will receive a text message invitation to book their flu vaccination appointment.

 

If you believe you are eligible but have not received a text invitation by Thursday 10th September 2026, please contact Reception on 01202 517333 to book your appointment.

 

Please note: We are unable to take flu vaccination bookings between 8:00am and 10:00am due to high call volumes.
